I'm wondering if you'd be willing to take turns benefiting from talking out loud while the other person remains silent. A common term for doing this is Rubber Ducking. For more information about this, see teddybeartalksupport.com

Here's what it could look like:

I'll set the timers for us for

  • 2 minutes - I talk about things like what I need to do next, something I'm trying to figure out, etc.
  • 2 minutes - You talk about whatever you want

Then, we either say goodbye, or, if you have the time and interest:

OPTIONAL

  • 25 minutes - Work for another 25 minutes
  • 2 minutes - I talk
  • 2 minutes - You talk
